Have you ever wondered what the Vikings ate, what a typical Roman dinner party was like or what the ancient peoples of the world ate? How France came to be regarded as the home of fine cuisine? How the cuisines of our neighbours in South East Asia developed?
How about our own Australian food history, the hunter-gatherer foods of our indigenous people, the rations of the early convict settlement and the impact of multicultural immigration over the last 60-odd years?
If you have some interest in the evolution of food cultures their evolvement and their impact on the world through the ages, this course may lead you to explore further. There are some fascinating facts to be found in studying the History of Food and the discovery goes on as food becomes more globalised.
