U3A Armadale Trips Group meet on the 5th Tuesday of a Month.

WICKEPIN, HISTORY & FACEY HOMESTEAD

Leaving Evelyn Gribble Community Centre we drive via Brookton Highway to Pingelly for a traditional Club 55 Morning Tea. We then travel to the McCoy homestead at Wickepin, where a volunteer will show us the historical sights in the area. It’s then on to Inkie Pinky School and more history. Lunch is quiche and salad with slices tea and coffee at the Community Hotel. In the afternoon it’s time to visit Albert Facey Homestead, Tools Museum and Agriculture Photographic Display along with restored Railway Station. Finally, a bus tour of town with volunteers to help us enjoy the rest of our day. Then it’s home via Williams for a final comfort stop and shop, before arriving home at 6pm.
